It turns out that it is VERY HARD to find atheist parenting blogs!
I have spent a great deal of time looking for bloggers for this carnival.
I could use your help!
If you have favorite bloggers who are secular/atheist/humanist,
please ask them to submit posts to this carnival.
I am feeling frustrated and sad at the lack of atheist parenting blogs.
Have YOU thought of blogging?
Have YOU thought of blogging?
I am having a very difficult time finding atheist parenting blog posts for this carnival! Please bloggers who are atheist/secular/agnostic/humanist/freethinking, consider writing some blog posts that you would like to share with other atheist parents.
ReplyDeleteTopics might include: discipline, sexuality, holidays, family time, character, values, books, the process of 'losing religion', humor, challenges, confusion, celebrations, milestones, first- or second-generation parenting without religion, etc.
I strongly encourage all bloggers who read this to consider using your blog as a place to explore issues, share anecdotes, inform on issues in parenting! Let's support one another! :-)
Blogs for this carnival don't have to be atheist-focused. Posts should contain content of interest to religion-free parents.
We don't practice religion but I don't really mention it in my private blog because it is simply not part of my life. I think part of the reason you are having a hard time finding them is because you are looking for a declaration of non belief instead of just looking for parenting blogs that simply never refer to religion or religous beliefs. I might have several anecdotes about our girls experience with religion in our culture but it would be 2 or 3 posts out 800.
ReplyDeleteI just read on The Friendly Atheist about a new forum called secularmom.com. Maybe you can look for bloggers there? Also, you should reach out to Dale McGowan at The Meming of Life. He is busy writing a book right now but every once in a blue moon he puts out another post.
